Spring is here, and with it all that great unpredictable weather. We squeezed some fishing in between really wet days in hopes of landing some energetic fish. I was met on the banks by some saddening images. 2 bloated and dead carp had been carried by the wind into the cove I was planning to fish. If it was by human negligence or winter kill remains to be seen but there does not appear to be any signs of disease present. Regardless if by nature or man it is a good thing to keep in the back of your mind. Treat your fish with the respect they deserve or this could be the end result. After getting that sorted we got down to fishing. The winds kept us busy chasing tackle/bait buckets and other junk but the fishing was great...a good number of fish came to the banks, some big some small but all fun and healthy.
