Guest articles.....

We have been fortunate to get our mits on a very thought prevoking article on leaders by long term angler and fishery owner Keith Moors......there is a link here to view it.

Take a look and spend a few minutes reading what will I hope get a few of you thinking and talking! Please let us know what you think to the article on the forum and obviously any input you have  regarding rig safety.

Well said Mike....fish safety is the priority and this is certainly a thought provoking article by Keith Moors. I am a fan of lead core leaders due to the pin down effect you achieve. I do however share a similar feeling to Keith Moors in that 'why spend so much on a mainline to add a leader 4 times thicker at the end'.....this makes a lot of sense to me.

A verry intaresting subject , ive only just started specimen carping and already this has got me thinking, although ive got some new leaders from a well nown company which arent cheap, i will be fishing one rod without a leader to see if theres a differance in my catching , if i find that there is no diff between the 2 i will ditch the leader and not use them , maybe the mono straight throgh will out perform the leader ? hope so , wotever the outcome fish safety will and should allways come first
